A versatile artist, in his path Daniele Silvestri has ranged from songwriting to theatre, musicals and cinema. His stylistic code combines the pursuit of new authorial songwriting with the response of the general public, mixing talent and tradition, expressive lightness and civil commitment, as evidenced by songs such as “Cohiba”, “Il mio nemico” and “La mia casa” together with “Le Cose che Abbiamo in Comune”, “Salirò” e “Quali Alibi”. His participation in popular festivals have always left a mark, thanks to the unique imprint that distinguishes them: never o.t.t., yet always surprising.
The many awards received (Tenco Prize, David di Donatello, Recanati, Amnesty Italy, Grinzane-Cavour, Carosone to name a few) are further confirmation of his tension towards the other, the look, the word and the action always alert on the present, supportive, lucid, generous. This is how the numerous projects created with and for non-profit organizations, very different from each other, are born: Movimondo in Mozambique, Agende Rosse, CUAMM, Every Child is my Child among others.
His lyrics are often linguistic acrobatics jumped out of the eight studio albums: a game and a talent that make him one of the most literary studied Italian singer-songwriters.
